Nigel Avern joined Peak Well Systems in 2010 and is currently based from its head office in Perth, Australia.

Prior to joining Peak, Nigel was Executive Officer of Expro with responsibility for all product lines. Nigel held many senior roles with Expro over a period of 17 years, including President of Latin America and Region Director of Asia Pacific. During his employment with Expro, Nigel also held numerous general management, technical, commercial and marketing positions. Most recently, Nigel held the role of Chief Executive Officer of Peak Well Systems.

Nigel started his career after graduation with JCB Excavators and has a BA in Marketing and Finance from the University of Sunderland. He is a British national and an Australian resident.

     
Paul Glew

  Paul Glew

Based in Perth, Australia, Paul is the Finance Manager of Peak Well Systems. His primary responsibilities include management of all Peak’s financial and commercial matters. 

Paul’s career in the oil & gas industry spans 19 years. He began his career in 1997 as an accountant for Expro based in Perth, Australia before being promoted to Financial Controller for the Asia Pacific region where he set-up the finance function for Expro in the region. After seven years at Expro, Paul relocated to London for a two year period to take up another opportunity in Shipping before returning to Perth to take the role of Chief Financial Officer at Peak Well Systems. Paul has remained with Peak for over 10 years and during this time has also been responsible for the management of other key departments at Peak including Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Service Delivery.

Paul has a BA in Finance majoring in Accounting and is a member of Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA).

     
Robin McGowan

  Robin McGowan

Robin has over 25 years of experience in the oil and gas sector including 15 years with Schlumberger where he held a variety of field and management positions across the Middle East before joining the company’s research and development organisation in Houston and Paris.

Robin was a key contributor to the development of Schlumberger’s breakthrough sourceless LWD platform and went on to hold the position of Innovation Manager responsible for developing a range of innovation initiatives across the company.

On leaving Schlumberger in 2005, Robin was a founding partner in an investment fund focussing on energy technology startups in the Middle East. Following successful exits of those investments he joined Aker Solutions in 2011 before returning to the forefront of technology development with Peak Well Systems in 2013.

Robin holds a bachelor’s degree in Physics from the University of Birmingham, UK; a Masters degree in Geophysics from Imperial College, London; and a Masters degree in Technology Management from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
