Peak launches ‘Lean & Green’ Initiative

Peak Well Systems has launched an internal ‘Lean & Green’ campaign which is aimed at improving value for customers whilst minimising waste and environmental impact.  As a designer and manufacturer of advanced downhole tools for well intervention, Peak is investing significantly in ‘lean and green’ education and processes which will ultimately reduce delivery lead times whilst improving Peak’s carbon footprint.

Lean Manufacturing is widely acknowledged as defining value from the customer’s perspective, identifying the value stream and optimising work flow.  Peak achieves this through increased training for all manufacturing and production team members, improved planning, adhering to 5S principles, measuring and monitoring manufacturing processes, and ultimately improving despatch times for products sold.   Furthermore, Peak also retains a significant stock of rental products for immediate mobilisation.

Ismael Quteifan, Product Delivery Manager for Peak, commented: “We’ve aligned our rental stock with customer demand in recent months and, at the same time, reduced our despatch lead times for all products sold.  It’s a great start to our Lean & Green initiative.”

The ‘Lean & Green’ initiative was unveiled during the same week that Peak was awarded both ISO14001 accreditation for environmental management, and OHSAS18001 accreditation for health and safety in the workplace.
