Peak Ramps Up Manufacturing Capacity with Major Investment during 2013

Peak Well Systems has asserted its commitment to meet a growing global demand for advanced flow control technologies and well intervention toolstring products, with a major multi-million dollar investment programme during the past 12 months.

This significant undertaking, entirely self-financed, is aimed at increasing output capacity from Peak’s manufacturing facilities in Perth (Western Australia) and further reducing customer delivery timeframes.  As part of this process, Peak has installed additional state-of-the-art CNC machines capable of manufacturing Peak products that require milling and turning under one operation.  These new machines greatly enhance Peak’s capability of manufacturing products to the highest quality and within the shortest timeframes.  Peak Well Systems now employs over 90 people worldwide from its bases in Perth (WA), Aberdeen (UK) and Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia).

Nigel Avern, Chief Executive of Peak Well Systems, commented: “Although primarily focused on our Perth (WA) facilities, this investment will have a positive impact on all Peak regional offices and, most importantly, for our global customers.  The additional output capacity means that our customers can continue to purchase high performance well intervention tools and expect them to be despatched within a shorter timeframe.”

“We are also expanding our regionalized rental fleet, which means some of our most advanced technologies can be available at short notice.  One such recent example was the same-day mobilisation of SIM Systems for a large IOC in Gabon who had the equipment on site within days. At Peak, we recognize that our ability to react quickly can potentially save our customers large amounts of OPEX.”

“This year’s investment represents a major commitment to enhance product quality, worldwide delivery and customer service, and also provides Peak with a sound platform for further growth over the next few years. The fast moving nature of this industry and, in particular, the well intervention technology sector, means that we have to continue to invest in order to meet the increasing demand for Peak products.”

It is a decade since Peak Well Systems was founded by Directors from the Service Company sector.  During the next 12 months, Peak will be taking the opportunity to celebrate ’10 Years of Improving the Performance of Wells’ with employees and customers.
